What We Are
Fraser Valley Excavation is an excavation and land clearing service working across Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission, Langley, Aldergrove, Agassiz and Maple Ridge. The work is the classic valley mix: site prep for new homes, shops and garages, land clearing on acreages, trenching for water and power, drainage that copes with a real Fraser Valley winter, gravel driveways, retaining wall excavation on the hillsides, and small demolition with proper disposal.
How We Operate
- Firm quotes on defined work. When a job can be scoped, you get a written price that covers machine, operator, trucking, materials and disposal. Hourly rates are for genuinely open-ended work, and we say which is which up front.
- Locates before buckets. BC 1 Call on every job, at least three business days ahead, plus a walk of the property for the private lines the database does not know.
- Season honesty. Some work belongs in the dry months and we will tell you so, even when it means waiting for your money. Rework costs more than patience.
- Disposal included and itemized. Debris, spoil and demolition waste go to sorted recycling and approved sites, priced inside the quote, not surprise-billed after.
- Rules respected. Soil bylaws, riparian setbacks, permits, engineering thresholds on retaining walls, hazmat surveys before pre-1990 demolition: handled before the machine arrives, not discovered after.
Why Local Knowledge Matters in This Valley
The Fraser Valley is short on generic ground. Sumas Prairie silt, Langley hardpan, Mission hillsides and Chilliwack river flats each punish a different mistake, and the calendar punishes all of them: what compacts beautifully in July pumps into mud in December. Knowing which property is which, and which month is which, is most of what separates dirt work that lasts from dirt work that gets done twice.
